Teach with the Yakima Arts Academy
Are you a passionate artist who loves to share your creativity and inspire others? The Yakima Arts Academy invites artists of all disciplines to join our growing community of instructors dedicated to nurturing the next generation of young creators.
Our Artists are local experienced professionals who share their techniques, knowledge, and love for the arts through engaging, hands-on classes. Artists work alongside our Lead Artist, who provides support with classroom management, curriculum development, and supply coordination.
Whether you’re interested in teaching a single workshop or a series of classes, we offer opportunities for both paid and volunteer positions. All instructors complete a background check before teaching.
If you’re ready to make an impact through art, we’d love to hear from you! Share your availability, samples of your artwork, and a brief overview of your teaching style or approach to help us find the right opportunity for you. Fill out an interest form below to learn more.
The Yakima Arts Academy welcomes donations from the community. All donations can be made via check or Venmo, please make sure to complete our Contact Us page to inform us of your cash donation. All payments and donations are applied to covering the cost of paying our art instructors, purchasing supplies for our classes and students, scholarships to waive fees for students that request assistance, and operational costs such as printing materials, webhosting fees, snacks, or insurance.
We also appreciate useable art supplies. We do not accept, at this time, hazardous materials such as turpetine, mineral spirits, acetone, paint thinner or other chemical based products that are classified as hazardous under Hazard Communication Standar (29 CFR 1910. 1200).
The Yakima Arts Academy is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are registered in the State of Washington and with the Federal Government.
